Saturday, August 10th - 10am - Catered by Born & Bread
There is something special about creating pottery. Not only is it fun but you can also make something useful and beautiful. Handbuilding is an ancient pottery-making technique that involves creating forms without a pottery wheel, using the hands, fingers, and simple tools.
In this workshop, we will all be building your new favorite coffee mug while munching on a specially catered assortment of Born & Bread pastries. The pottery will be fired off site and available for pick-up on the following Thursday afternoon. Our instructor is Randy Glotfelty. Randy is a Lakeland artist whose work includes a number of fired art mediums and techniques. He is co-owner of Jen-Ken Kilns and Fired Arts Academy.
